Janna Freed is responsible for the New Venture Fund’s legal compliance and for providing expert guidance to the firm and its many hosted projects on a broad cross-section of tax, legislative, and regulatory issues.
Janna has extensive experience advising the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors, alongside a specialized background in tax law, making her uniquely equipped to support New Venture Fund’s growing portfolio of hosted projects and evolving strategic needs. Prior to joining New Venture Fund, Janna served as Deputy General Counsel at Arabella Advisors. Her prior leadership roles also included positions at the Walton Family Foundation and New York Public Radio.
Janna completed her JD at Yale Law School and her BA at Sarah Lawrence College, and holds an MA in music theory from the City University of New York.
